How PayDM works

PayDM lets you pay once to send one private message to a Creator, who then commits to providing a personal written reply within 8 days. The Creator sets the price. Your payment is held until the reply is sent. If no reply arrives before the deadline, you are refunded automatically. PayDM keeps a 20% commission; 80% is credited to the Creator’s balance.

PayDM in short

What it is
A service where one payment buys one private message and one personal reply from the person you chose.
Who it is for
Anyone who needs a written answer from a Creator, founder or professional, and any Creator who wants to be paid for the time spent answering.
How it works
Pick a Creator, see their price, pay, write your message, receive a written reply within the deadline.
What it costs
The price set by the Creator, plus a 5% service fee. 80% of the price is credited to the Creator’s balance, or 90% for Creators in the Ambassador Program.
What happens without a reply
After 8 days with no reply, the full amount is refunded automatically. No claim to file.
Key difference
The money is held until the reply exists. That is what makes the reply commitment real rather than a promise.

The seven steps

  1. 1. Choose who you want to reach

Every Creator on PayDM has a public profile. It shows who they are, what kind of questions they accept, and the price of a message. If a Creator has paused their inbox, the profile says so and no payment is possible.

  2. 2. See the price before anything else

The price is displayed on the profile, before you write anything. There is no bidding, no dynamic pricing and no hidden tier. What you see is what the Creator decided their attention is worth today.

  3. 3. Pay once

You pay the message price plus a 5% service fee. Payment is a single card transaction. There is no account balance to top up, no subscription, and no recurring charge of any kind.

  4. 4. Write and send your message

Once the payment is confirmed, you write your message and it is delivered. One payment covers one message. Length is up to you within the limits of the form, but a focused question tends to get a more useful answer than a long one.

  5. 5. The Creator is notified

The Creator receives an email notification and sees the message in their PayDM inbox with the remaining time before the deadline. Reminders are sent as the deadline approaches.

  6. 6. The Creator replies personally

The reply is written by the Creator. It arrives in your PayDM inbox and you are notified by email. The Creator decides the content and the length; PayDM does not impose a format.

  7. 7. The transaction closes

Once the reply is sent, the Creator's share moves to their balance. If the deadline passes first, the refund is triggered automatically instead.

The 8-day reply rule

The countdown starts when the payment is confirmed and the message is delivered, not when the Creator opens it. It runs for 8 days, in calendar days, including weekends.

Three outcomes are possible:

  • The Creator replies before the deadline. The transaction completes. Their earnings move to their balance.
  • The Creator declines the message. You are refunded immediately, without waiting for the deadline.
  • The deadline passes with nothing. The refund is triggered automatically by the system.

PayDM does not promise a faster answer than the deadline. Many replies arrive well before it, but the only commitment the platform makes is the one it can enforce: a reply within 8 days, or your money back.

How the refund works

The refund is automatic. You do not open a ticket, you do not contact support, and you do not need to prove anything. A daily process checks every message that has passed its deadline without a reply and refunds it.

What is refunded: the full amount you paid, including the 5% service fee.

Where it goes: back to the original payment method. The time it takes to appear on your statement depends on your bank, typically a few business days.

What you receive: a confirmation email when the refund is issued.

A refunded message is closed. The Creator can no longer reply to it, and the Creator earns nothing from it. If you still want an answer, you send a new message.

Prices, fees and commissions

For paid messages, PayDM uses three core rates.

Who paysWhatRate
SenderService fee, added on top of the message price5%
CreatorPlatform commission, taken from the message price20%
Ambassador CreatorPlatform commission, taken from the message price (available on request, subject to PayDM approval)10%

Worked example

A Creator sets their message price at 100.

  • The sender pays 105, which is the 100 message price plus the 5% service fee (5).
  • A standard Creator earns 80, which is 80% of 100.
  • An Ambassador Creator earns 90, which is 90% of 100.

There is no listing fee, no monthly fee, and no charge for a message that ends up refunded. If a message is refunded, no commission is taken and the Creator earns nothing from it.

How Creators get paid

A Creator's balance has two parts.

  • Pending. Earnings from a message, held from the moment the sender pays until 7 days after the Creator replies.
  • Available. Earnings that have cleared those 7 days and can be withdrawn.

The Creator's earnings remain pending and become available 7 days after the Creator replies, provided the message has not been refunded, cancelled or blocked by a dispute. This pending period exists to cover payment disputes and refunds. If no reply is sent within 8 days, the message is refunded automatically and the Creator earns nothing from it. Once available, the Creator can request a payout to their connected bank account.

Creators must complete identity verification and connect a payout account before they can withdraw. That process is part of joining, and it is described on the page for Creators.

Moderation, safety and disputes

Messages must be lawful and respectful. Harassment, threats, impersonation and illegal requests are prohibited, and PayDM may take appropriate action under its policies, including removing an account.

Creators can decline any message, with an automatic refund to the sender. They are not required to justify the decision, and declining does not count against them.

Both sides can report a message or a reply. Reported messages or replies may be reviewed by PayDM, and appropriate action may be taken under the platform's policies.

Messages and replies are not published publicly. PayDM may access relevant content when necessary for support, safety, fraud prevention or payment disputes, in accordance with its policies.

What PayDM does not do

PayDM sells one paid message and one personal reply. Everything below is outside that scope.

  • It is not a subscription, a donation platform or a booking tool.
  • It does not include a call, a session or coaching by default.
  • It does not guarantee that the reply will agree with you or be favourable.
  • It does not guarantee a minimum reply length.
  • It does not turn a written answer into legal, medical or financial advice. Professionals answering on PayDM set their own boundaries, as described on the page for experts.
  • It does not open an ongoing conversation. One payment, one message, one reply.
  • It does not generate replies on the Creator's behalf. The final reply must remain personal, relevant and genuinely provided by the Creator.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a Creator have to reply on PayDM?

8 calendar days from the moment the message is delivered. If the reply has not been sent by then, the payment is refunded automatically.

How much does PayDM take?

PayDM keeps a 20% commission on the message price; 80% is credited to the Creator’s balance. Senders pay a 5% service fee on top of the price. Selected Creators can be invited into the Ambassador Program, where PayDM keeps 10% and 90% is credited to the Creator’s balance instead.

Do I have to ask for a refund?

No. The refund is issued automatically when the 8-day window expires without a reply, and you receive a confirmation email.

Can a Creator refuse my message?

Yes. A Creator can decline any message. When that happens you are refunded immediately and the message is closed.

Is my message published anywhere?

No. Messages and replies are not published publicly. PayDM may access relevant content when necessary for support, safety, fraud prevention or payment disputes, in accordance with its policies.

Can I send a follow-up question?

A follow-up is a new paid message. One payment covers one message and one reply, so continuing the exchange means sending another message.

When can a Creator withdraw their earnings?

Earnings remain pending and become available 7 days after the Creator replies, provided the message has not been refunded, cancelled or blocked by a dispute. Once available, earnings can be withdrawn to a connected bank account.

Are replies written by the Creator themselves?

Yes. The final reply must remain personal, relevant and genuinely provided by the Creator. PayDM does not write or generate replies on their behalf.

What is the PayDM Ambassador Program?

The Ambassador Program credits selected Creators 90% of the message price instead of the standard 80%. It is available on request and subject to approval by PayDM, not automatically granted to every Creator.

Can Creators earn by referring other Creators to PayDM?

Yes. A Creator who directly refers another Creator to PayDM earns 15% of the PayDM revenue generated by that referred Creator, for as long as the referred Creator keeps generating revenue. There is no limit on the number of Creators who can be referred, and this applies only to Creators referred directly, not multi-level.
